Eateries and Shops

Derby General StoreIn the late 1800's, Derby was a thriving little River town of several hundred people. The riverboats and packets stopped on a regular basis thus the River was the Highway of the Time on which people traveled and shipped their goods to Louisville or Evansville.

Today Derby is a sleepy little town of about 50 people but blessed with a very good restaurant and an unbelievable general store. The Ramsey Restaurant and Tavern offers a buffet dinner Friday and Saturday night and complete menu the rest of the week. They open for breakfast at 8:30 each day, closed on Sunday.

The Derby General Store will have everything you need. Complete line of groceries and gifts. They also carry bait and fishing tackle. The Derby General is a do not miss experience. The Mulzer Park in Derby is located at the rivers edge. Shelter house, swings, slide, basketball court, horseshoe pits and a 150' dock are for all to enjoy.
